In the midst of remodeling this hotel I stayed at in Jefferson City, MO they decided to lay out the old carpet on the hill in front of the hotel. My guess is to keep the weeds and brush from growing. Also no need to repaint when new fixtures are added or removed.

It doesn't show up on google maps yet.

If that’s what you’re after I can get it.

When employer is footing the bill, I asked for a nicer place for next week. We’ll be at the Baymount downtown, which isn’t saying much.

I’ve stayed at a Green Acers motel in Pitsfield, IL and it was as you’d expect. 2 beds, shower, TV, a C3 corvette parked under a canopy.

Wow, that's in pretty sad shape. I hope it was cheap. And that Sanyo. That wasn't a good tv when it was made 18 years ago. I imagine that time hasn't done it any favors.

Those America’s Best Motels seem to be pretty much the same everywhere. I stayed in one in Moline Il where I was the only overnighter in a wing of “permanent” residents.
